Classes are held on the campus of California State University, Northridge.

All classes are offered in the Spring, Summer, and Fall Sessions.

Northridge Institute of Interpretaion prepares English/Spanish speakers to take the California State Exam to become certified court interpreters.
The state exam consists of two parts: the writen exam and then the oral exam. The courses at NII are designed to meet those challenges.

Interpreters in the California Superior Courts earn $72,000 per year plus a benefits package of approximately $30,000.

The courts and private industry in many fields are in need of trained certified interpreters.

Prerequisite for admission to NII program: Students must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
